Where are the women's right groups?

In this 'shocking' speech, Hilaly states that rape and adultery are basically the fault of Woman.

“When it comes to adultery, it’s 90 percent the woman’s responsibility. Why? Because a woman owns the weapon of seduction. It’s she who takes off her clothes, shortens them, flirts, puts on make-up and powder and takes to the streets, God protect us, dallying. It’s she who shortens, raises and lowers. Then, it’s a look, a smile, a conversation, a greeting, a talk, a date, a meeting, a crime, then Long Bay jail. Then you get a judge, who has no mercy, and he gives you 65 years.”

This speech isn't a 'fringe' speech by a 'radical' muslim, this is what most of the muslims you see and hear on TV believe. In Islam, if a woman claims rape, she must have witnesses to back her up (male of course) or she is guilty. If a man feels he needs to beat his wife, Islam promotes and protects that. Women are treated worse than most slaves were treated in the pre-civil war south and not one women's rights groups (or heck not even many human rights groups) protest Islam that I can find.

If someone in this country speaks sharply to a woman, or touches her in a 'familiar' way, they could and probably will be labeled a sexist and face penalties. Women's rights groups will harp continuously in the US about any wrong done to women (note: I don't believe in abusing anyone and can't stand people that would hit their spouse in the name of love...) yet will be strangely silent when women are treated worse than animals in other countries. "You can't understand their culture." I hear that alot when speaking about conditions for women or 'infedels' in other countries, yet no one explains how understanding their culture would ever make this right.

In New Jersey, the Supreme Court has decided that the will of the people is superceded by the will of the Justices and told the legislature it has 180 days to rewrite the marriage laws to either 1) include a civil union or 2) make marriage legal for gay people. You'll find lots of women's rights groups, gay groups (under various monikers) and others that applaud that decision. Yet not one of these groups will protest the fact that in a Muslim country, not only do gays not get to marry or have civil unions, they are in fact executed for being a homosexual.

There is something severly wrong with this country when most of the complaining, legal work and typical b.s. are about more alleged wrongs in this country than about real wrongs in other countries.
